Praise the Lord…surgery complete!
Praise the Lord. Liana’s surgery was successful! Thanks
for all your prayers! We visited with her a couple of times
last night. She stayed asleep most of the time. Mei Mei, her
baby doll stayed with her through the night. Our next visit
is at 5:00 A.M. today. We are ready to see our little girl!
Each shift the nurses tell us they heard from the surgical
staff that Liana is a joy to work with. They’ll really get to
know our spunky girl today! We’ll be in touch.
Love,
Guy and Tina Marie
PS As Liana was being rolled away on the gurney for surgery
she waved and called, “I’ll see you after while.” Such a joy!

Please pray for Liana…
Hello Everyone!
Our precious daughter Liana is scheduled for heart surgery, Tuesday @ 8:00 A।M. at University Hospital in Birmingham. She is having a Fontan procedure which is done to redirect blood flow. She was born without the left ventricle. The Glenn was performed in China now the Fontan at University Hospital. "The Glenn and Fontan allow blood to be routed directly to the lungs, leaving the ventricle that is able to work well to pump blood to the body. "

Adoption…a dream come true!
I dreamed of one day adopting a little girl from China ever since I was a girl. Guy embraced our Heavenly Father’s heart for adoption early in our marriage. Our sons Jeremy and Chris knew since they were young that we desired to adopt. In fact, I still remember the day the two of them ran into the kitchen announcing that their aluminum can fund, which they were saving for a horse, was now to be applied toward a baby sister! Wow! They brought a mist of tears to my eyes at that moment. I was so proud of them then and I still am very proud of Jeremy and Chris!…(I love you, sweet sons!)
They adore their little sister, and of course she is very thrilled over her two big brothers.
Plus, Jeremy and Chris are both married now, so Liana got instant big sisters!
Proud mother who answers to three names…
Jeremy calls me Mama.
Chris calls me Mom.
Liana calls me MaMa. (Chinese pronunciation)
PS The boys savings paid for the initial adoption application fee! God is awesome!
I’ll share more another time about God’s miracle of provision for our adoption process.

Dear Birth Mother
July 30, 2010
Dear Birth Mother of our daughter,
I wish I could tell you just how much we love our precious girl! We are so very grateful that you chose to give her life! Today on her fourth birthday, you may be thinking… I wonder where she is. I wonder how she is doing. I wonder what she looks like. I wonder if she is in good care.
Liana was adopted by our family… the Posey People from America. We named our precious bundle of joy Liana, which means, my God has answered….God answered our cry for a Chinese girl, which had been my dream since I was a girl! God answered Liana’s cry for a forever family. We are Christians, and we believe that one day she will cry out to the Lord and ask Jesus into her heart, and He will answer.
We heard about her through Lifeline Children’s Services Waiting Child Program. We learned that she has a serious heart defect. We love her as her own. We are getting her the best medical treatment possible, so that she can live her life to the fullest.
I yearn to be able to convey to you that Liana’s smile is beautiful and contagious. She is a very sweet child. She generally wakes up happy and goes to bed singing. She has lots of friends. She is very outgoing and confident. Liana is also thoughtful and loves to share.
She brings such joy to our lives, and we can’t imagine life without her. I wish I could hug you and say thank you in person, but I am asking God to show you His love and give you His peace. Thanks again for the precious gift you lovingly shared through Liana!
