IT'S OFFICIAL ... FANGYING IS OUR DAUGHTER!
Around three o'clock today, FangYing officially became
our precious little girl! She smiled a lot and behaved
quite well at the meeting. The interview was easy. Our
family picture was made; we signed the official docu-
ments, and we were on our way to shop for clothes for
FangYing. She is a great shopper. We'll have lots of fun.
Last night we were startled by the doorbell ringing in
the night. I was waiting on Guy to answer the door. He
thought the bell was in his dreams. The next thing we
knew, a gentleman was standing in the doorway! As soon
as he saw us in bed, he took off. We felt confident that it
was someone on staff who made a mistake coming to our
room. (We failed to lock our door, which is highly unusual for us.
Jane checked into the incident. The next thing we knew,
a lovely, fragrant bouquet of white lilies was found on the
desk in our room, along with a delicious cream cake! We
hope the staff didn' t get into trouble, but we sure are enjoying
our wonderful gifts!
At dinner tonight, Guy got up to get a plate of food at the buffet.
FangYing seemed a little upset as she spoke in Chinese. I asked
the manager of the restaurant what she was saying. He replied
with a smile, "She told him to sit down." I laughed when he told me.
This afternoon Guy was playfully teasing FangYing. The next thing
we knew, she was chewing him out in Chinese. She keeps us smiling.
It sounds like y'all are having a wonderful time!!!
ReplyDeleteHannah Grace chewed me out in Chinese shortly after coming home from China! She smiled, because she knew I could not understand her. We have some sassy girls!!!!
The updates are so great!!!
Liana is a healthy, beautiful girl! I know I have already said that once. But, she is an absolute doll!!!
Praying for y'all!!
